- Helps library patrons with the online catalog, databases, reference books, basic computing problems, printing and scanning; answers walk-up and phone queries and directional questions; provides referrals to appropriate service providers such as Library professional staff and ITS.
- Check In/Out library materials including headphones, study room keys, reserve items, books and journals. Responsible for shelving books, reserves, and journals.
- Must have availability to work evenings and weekends. Evening and weekend duties include assisting UDC Graduate Student Assistant in nighttime operations of UDC Library functions including closing of library services at the end of the evening.
- In absence of UDC ITS Student Assistants, help library patrons in using UDC classroom multimedia technology, circulate ITS laptops, and stock printers with paper and toner.
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills. Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills as well as initiative, good judgment and discretion. Reliability and punctuality.
Hours: Monday: 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., Thursday 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., Friday- 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
